The Collie Association Championship Show
Sunday 28th November 2021

I was very much looking forward to Judging Best in Show at the Collie Association 2021 Best Bitch, Best of Breed and eventually Best in Show was Ladnar Inkspot. Owned and bred by Dave and Sue Randall.

Such a well balanced young lady who showed herself of to perfection. No exaggeration in head, it is just clean, smooth and completely balanced with her stop where it should be. Nice eye placement giving that inquisitive expression and she used her ears to her advantage. Not one moment did she take her eyes away from her owner/breeder. She has well placed shoulders, is not overdone in rib and a lovely turn of stifle completed a very pleasing smooth easy movement in all directions. Very pleased to be able to give her best of breed and eventually she beat the lot to go Best in Show. Quite an achievement for one of tender years. I wish her well for the future.

Best puppy Bitch, Best puppy in Breed and eventually Best puppy in Show went to the same owners of Inkspot and a lot of the same remarks apply. This little poppet called Ladnar Izadorable has so much going for her and she stands and shows herself off to perfection. She never put a foot wrong on the move. Presented to perfection and with so much confidence. A pleasure to judge her.

Reserve Best in Show was the CH/Multi CH Winter is coming to Tentola and what a pleasure to judge this shapely smooth. An upstanding male who has ‘that look’ about him that says ‘I am great’ and I am inclined to agree with him. He is elegant and well covered in hard condition but nothing course about him. A fluid easy mover in complete unison with his handler and presented to perfection. He well deserved this placing.

Best veteran in show was another smooth in Oakestelle Venus De Milo and one I have admired before. I was pleased to see her again today. A few months over 8 years of age now. A lovely blue with a very pleasing head and expression and presented to perfection. Never ever lets her handler down both standing and on the move. She well deserved this placing.
